8th October 2010 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Estuary Wind Direction: ENE Wind Stength: 30 - 15 knots Surf / Sea State: Choppy - Flat Air Temperature: 18ºC Sea Temperature: 15ºC Weather: Hazy Sunshine Max Speed: 32.2 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 16.8 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Good to start with on my wave kit in 30 knots winds, but very choppy. Max speed during this time was only 22 knots. As tide dropped and speed channel appeared, wind dropped too. Went out with 6.3m North Warp and Mistral Red Dot but was never properly powered up. Managed 32.2 knots though so it wasn't too bad - Much more speed to some if we get wind and the speed channel at the same time. The Quest Continues |
